Trichord's data fusion software collects real-time traffic data from sensors located across Northern Virginia, and stores the data in an archive that can be used for research and planning purposes.

The Trichord Traffic Data Archive™ contains about 175 MB of data for each 24-hour period. The data includes speed, occupancy, and vehicle count information on a per-lane basis. It is collected from a network of over 140 traffic sensors, located on I-66, I-95, I-395, and I-495 in Northern Virginia. The archive can be searched using simple SQL queries that can be generated with MS Access software - no customized software application is required.
