JamTrackerPlus™: Real-time Speed Alerts

The JamTrackerPlus™ software application displays traffic speed data and provides audible and / or visual alerts to the user. The data, which comes from traffic sensors placed along the roadway, is updated every minute.

JamTrackerPlus™ users can select road segments to monitor, set speed alert thresholds, view real-time speeds, receive alerts when conditions meet their monitoring criteria, and view a list of recent alerts. Audible and Visual alerts are available, and the application includes a “do not disturb” feature that allows users to temporarily disable the visual and audible aspect of the alerts.

JamTrackerPlus™

JamTrackerPlus™ offers the following benefits:

  • Real-time traffic speeds, updated every minute.

  • "At-a-glance" overview of traffic speeds, with route segments color-coded to reflect speed ranges.

  • The ability to set speed thresholds that trigger audible or visual speed alerts that point out potential traffic problems.

  • The ability to receive an alert when the number of traffic sensors reporting falls below a certain level.

  • A “do not disturb” feature that temporarily disables audible or visual notifications, while continuing to record triggered alerts.
Features of JamTrackerPlus™

Selecting Roads to Monitor: JamTrackerPlus™ allows the user to select which roads they wish to monitor. They may choose to use default speed parameters, or they may customize the parameters for each road segment. Users may also select a visual or audible alert for each road segment.

The user selects which roads he or she wishes to monitor.

Monitoring Speeds: JamTrackerPlus™ affords the user "at-a-glance" access to reported speeds along all segments that they have elected to monitor. Speeds are reported numerically in color-coded boxes.

The user has "at-a-glance" access to real-time speed information
for all road segments that they have elected to monitor.

Setting Defaults: JamTrackerPlus™ allows the user to set defaults that can be applied to all road segments. The user can set default thresholds for low and high speed alerts. They can also select whether they wish to receive an audible or visual alert (or both). Finally, they can elect to receive an alert if the number of sensors reporting falls below a certain level.

The user can set default speed thresholds
for all road segments.

Viewing Recent Alerts: JamTrackerPlus™ allows the user to view a chronological list of triggered alerts. This list continues to update, even when the "Do Not Disturb" Feature is activated.

The Recent Alerts Window displays a chronological list
of recently triggered alerts.

"Do Not Disturb" Feature: JamTrackerPlus™ allows the user to temporarily disable all visual and audible alerts by using the "Do Not Disturb" Feature. When this feature is activated, no visual or audible alert cues are given, but all triggered alerts continue to be recorded in the "Recent Alerts" window.
